This patient received the following procedures:
59 year old female bothered by the heaviness of her upper eyelids, lack of jawline definition, jowling, and banding in the neck with loose neck skin. On exam, the patient exhibits a hyperactive platysma muscle which is the muscle in the neck that creates the vertical bands. Only 10-15% of patients have a tonic platysma muscle and requires botox injections prior and after surgery to relax this muscle to create the best neckline. The patient understands that she will still have these bands after surgery. The patient underwent a lateral browlift, upper bleph, minifacelift and fat injections, mostly to deep folds around the mouth.
