Dr. Mike Majmundar, double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, performs mini-brow lifts for the residents of Atlanta, Sandy Springs and the surrounding communities in Georgia.
A mini-brow lift rejuvenates the upper face. Drooping eyebrows can cause a person to appear older, tired, or angry. This procedure is intended to provide a natural lift to the eyebrows back to their original position, causing a more youthful appearance without appearing surprised. It will also smooth forehead lines.
Making the Decision for a Mini-Brow Lift
A mini-brow lift can improve the appearance of your eyes, brow, and forehead. Dr. Majmundar is double board certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, as well as facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, providing you with the highest level of training and expertise. Dr. Majmundar will examine the structure of your brow and eyes to evaluate what you can expect from a mini-brow lift. Frequently, an upper eyelid blepharoplasty is also needed for the best result.
What to Expect After a Mini-Brow Lift
After a mini-brow lift, you may recover at home. A light bandage will be wrapped around the brow which can be removed after 24 hours. Swelling and bruising will subside over the following week. Discomfort will subside a couple of days after the procedure . For seven days after surgery, patients should avoid straining, lifting, or bending over. At one week, low-impact exercise is allowed, and you may resume all normal activities after two weeks.
Understanding Mini-Brow Lifts
Two small incisions will be made in an inconspicuous location behind the hairline to avoid the appearance of a scar. A pocket will be created over the outer and inner brow, and crow’s feet, leaving the muscle and nerves untouched. The skin will then be elevated, so the brow is lifted. This results in a natural elevation of the brows, decreased hooding and appearance of excess skin on the upper lid, and the opening up of the eyes. The forehead will not be elongated, and you will achieve a more youthful brow line and upper eyelid.
