Dr. Mike Majmundar, double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, offers Juvederm Vollure treatment to the residents of Atlanta, Sandy Springs and the surrounding communities in Georgia.
What is Juvederm Vollure?
Juvederm Vollure is part of the Juvederm family of products with patented VYCROSS technology used by its manufacturer, Allergan. Products such as Voluma and Volbella use the same technology. Vollure is a product that is smoother than Voluma so it can be used in more delicate areas.
How is Juvederm Vollure placed?
In our practice, we use blunt micro-cannulas to inject Vollure into the lower lid, lips, and other areas around the mouth with minimal to no swelling or bruising.
Who is a candidate for Juvederm Vollure?
Vollure is FDA approved to last one year and consists of hyaluronic acid and small amount of lidocaine to make the treatment more comfortable for patients. Anyone with lines around the mouth such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and cheek lines would benefit from the product. Because of its soft and smooth nature, it works especially well in the lips and around the eyes compared to previous Juvederm products such as Voluma.
What should I expect after Juvederm Vollure treatment?
Because we use blunt micro-cannulas, patients should expect mild swelling, if any, for 24 hours. Greater than 95% of our patients do not experience any bruising after treatment. Ice will be provided immediately after treatment and results are seen immediately.
