Non surgical Nose Job in Atlanta
Non surgical nose job, or nonsurgical rhinoplasty, has become a popular procedure over the last 3-4 years with the advent of the blunt cannula. The blunt cannula is a flexible soft tip blunt applicator that allows placement of filler into the nose without the complications that can occur with needle injections.
Restylane Lyft, Voluma, and Radiesse tend to be the best volumizers for the nose as they tend to resist deformation, or change in shape. Other fillers, such as Juvederm, can change shape and mold to the overlying tissue which is great for allowing shadows to blend in but not for supporting and holding tissue up. Non surgical nose job are good for lifting the tip, filling asymmetries, adding height to the dorsum, filling indentations, camouflaging a hump, and giving the illusion of nasal narrowing in some cases.
The patient’s nose is numbed up first, followed by intermittent injection and sculpting of product by hand until the desired result is acheived. The process takes less than 20 min. Very rarely does more than one syringe of product ever used.
Voluma tends to last longer and is a softer product providing a softer contour; however, Voluma also tends to settle the most and can require a touchup of a second syringe at 2-3 months. Restylane Lyft is preferable but it also sometimes may need a touch up, though much less likely than Voluma. Radiesse is reserved for thick skin in my practice as it’s the thickest of all the fillers and doesn’t have a ‘soft’ profile.
Swelling can occur from 1-4 days depending on how much work is done. Bruising is very rare. Expect a year or more out of the non surgical nose job.
