Natural Liquid Facelift

As we mature, we lose volume in our face in the form of fat and bone. This occurs throughout the entire face especially around the eyes, temples, cheekbones, cheeks, and around the mouth. The loss in volume makes our face look ‘deflated’ causing the overlying skin to sag. Adding volume to our face in the areas we know volume loss occurs, allows the face to ‘re-inflate’ and corrects the sagging skin around the jaw line and mouth.

Radiesse and Sculptra are not just wrinkle fillers, they are also global facial volumizers. They provide more volume than other fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm Ultra, Perlane, or Juvederm Ultra Plus and last longer than these fillers. Using these products, we can restore youthful facial contours by filling under the skin so that it inflates or "lifts" the facial tissues. Our double board certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Majmundar, uses his knowledge of proportional facial contours to recreate a balanced and natural facial lift known in our office as the ‘Natural Liquid Facelift’. It provides global rejuvenation to the temples, laugh lines, sagging cheek tissues, and around the eyes.

Global volumization with Radiesse gives immediate results and lasts 13 months on average and takes about 30 minutes to perform in the office. Sculptra does not give results immediately. There is a time factor involved since the true volume effect is created by your own collagen, not the product itself. Many patients like the Natural Liquid Facelift from Sculptra as it is a gradual change over several months; others like the instant gratification of Radiesse. Sculptra patients achieve the desired results as in 3-6 months. Most patients need 2-3 treatments spread 6-8 weeks apart. You can expect Sculptra results to last at least 2 years from the last treatment.

As with all other injections there can be temporary swelling, redness, and bruising. Other risks include the temporary but rare appearance of small bumps that can be felt, but usually not seen, which resolve spontaneously over a period of weeks. You will be provided with an ice pack after your treatment to use the remainder of the day and asked to massage the treated areas several times a day. You may use your makeup and sunscreen immediately after treatment. (TOP)
