The Weight-Loss Boost You’ve Been Looking For
If you dread stepping onto the scale because, despite your best efforts to lost weight, you know the results aren’t going to be good, then maybe it’s time you add some ammunition to your weight-loss program. Certainly, we can’t eliminate the hard work associated with exercise and proper diet, but we can give you something that will boost your existing efforts. That something is a B12 injection.
Using B12 Injections for Weight Loss
Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble B-complex vitamin found naturally in a variety of foods, including meat, fish, and dairy products. Vitamin B12 injections ensure that 100% of the B12 vitamin enters your bloodstream, giving you more energy, boost your metabolism, and helping you shed unwanted pounds. What’s more, B12 can help you maintain normal function of the circulatory and nervous systems, improve brain activity, and help you sleep better.
So, you may be wondering why you can’t just pop a B12 pill and get the same benefits. The difference between a pill and an injection is that the pill has to be broken down by the body and absorbed into your system. This takes time, and not all of the B12 vitamin actually finds its way to good use; a significant portion of the B12 is lost through the absorption process. A B12 injection, on the other hand, enters your body immediately, with 100% of the B12 vitamin being put to use.
o B12 Injections Really Work?
There’s preliminary research showing the link between B12 and weight control. One study, published in 2013 in Medicinski Glasnik, observed B12 levels in almost 1,000 people. The authors found that people with low vitamin B12 are more likely to be overweight and obese, while people with healthy B12 levels tended to maintain a healthier body weight. Another study found similar results in pregnant women. This study, published in a 2015 issue of PLoS One, found that pregnant women with low B12 levels were more likely to be obese. And a 2014 study in Nutrients found the same association in overweight and obese adolescents.
